Lean clean eating is not complicated and doesn’t take hours. My lean turkey meatballs take less than 15 minutes to make, and the oven does the rest of the work for the following 30-45 minutes.
Lean turkey meatballs are great to the next day, or even to have sitting in the freezer for those nights where you want to eat clean but just don’t feel like cooking.
Ingredients for lean turkey meatballs:
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 onion / 1/2 a large onion
- Mixed herbs (oregano, tarragon, mint) or (rosemary and oregano)
- Pepper
- 600-700g of turkey breast (can use chicken too)
- 1 egg white
- muffin tray
- Low cal spray
Instructions on how to make lean turkey meatballs:
In a blender, blitz, the garlic, onion, herbs and turkey breast. Add in egg white and mix well. Add pepper to season.Spray tray and then shape out 12 balls to fit into each compartment. Put into a warm over of 180 deg celsius for about 30-45 minutes, til they take a little colour.
